Gurren Lagann - Simon Denim Jacket - Tier 2

I preordered a wave 1 of this jacket in 2XL, and I am a 6’1”, 265lbs muscular dude. The denim is like, a high quality jean denim, and the interior quilting is the perfect mix of luxury and warmth. Unbuttoned it qualifies as a nice night time jacket, and buttoned, it is warm enough to survive sub-20 degree windy/snowy weather. I know on Reddit there was a lot of concern about the centering of the logo on the back, and I can confirm that on both the jackets I received, the logo is centered.

The only negatives are the following. The straps on the interior are gimmicky and I wish they could be removed, but that’s such a small gripe. And the length of the jacket is about 1” too short. I prefer jackets that sit at or slightly below the modern belt line, and this jacket sits right above. If you wear your belt above your hips, this won’t be an issue, but for a pant suit it looks a little off versus a longer, letterman style jacket.

Overall though, this jacket is fantastic. I recommend it to anyone who is a Gurren Lagann fan, and it really is as premium as the price tag suggests. As the title suggests, after I got my Phase 1 jacket, I bought a second Phase 2 jacket as well.

High quality, great fit. Took about a week and half later to receive but all great things are worth waiting for. I’m 5’9”-5’10” about 215 lbs and the XL fits perfectly. The bandana that came with this is easily worth $40 and it, too, is high quality. The AGG symbol on the buttons feels subtle and doesn’t take away from any part of the jacket. This company never fails. I look forward to their next collab.

All the jackets I got from them are just perfect, this one isn’t an exception. I’m glad you guys made a Gurren collab too, my favorite anime finally gets the attention it deserves. :)

Loved the way the jacket looked and huge fan of Gurren Lagann, but this was a failure on sizing. I usually wear a 3XL and ordered as such, but this did not even fit over my shoulders. It's too short and very tight around the shoulders and arms. Jacket also does not come near closing shut. My dad wears an XL, and he decided to try it on too, it also does not shut for him. Support claims there is no exchange options available, and I am left with nothing else to do but get a refund. Sucks to wait so long for Tier 1 and not work out. :(
